Now more than a week without my laptop, this evening I should be retrieving it from the clutches of the Borg Cube and back to my regularly scheduled dithering about.

Also, this Pew study on news consumption gives Americans more credit than they deserve, I think, but it's a start.  Particularaly if that participatory number, 37%, is at all accurate.
