Landings
It's another big week for space geeks. This Thursday President Obama will give a speech at the Kennedy Space Center which is expected to outline in more detail his administration's plan for NASA and the American space program—which could even include an extension of the Shuttle program. If the President does propose an extension to the Shuttle program, there will be a lot of people gathering underground in New York City for no good reason Thursday morning, as part of their bid to bring one of the soon-to-be-retired-Shuttles to rest permanently in New York. The plan is to ride the "Shuttle" train to show support for the Intrepid Museum's desire to build a glass house for one of the last three shuttles. Finally, regardless of Obama's speech or train riders, Discovery will land at Cape Canaveral just before 9:00am Monday morning and bring STS-131 to a successful close.
It's all Shuttle all the time.
